The Early Years

Since age four, the movement of womens hips  has interested me. As a little girl, watching other women move their hips to different styles of music always felt liberating and empowering. Combined with an exposure to dance styles such as soukous and an international family background, my development as a soukous and belly dancer began.

The Woman Behind  Nandee

Born and raised in North Carolina, I  attended UNC Greensboro where I studied Human Development/Family Studies and International Global studies. My background in these two fields has given me the combination of teaching students in a way that is specialized to their needs while also teaching and performing dance in a culturally respectful way.

The Teacher

It is my mission to share the benefits of dance  with others. As a teacher, I teach the origins and cultural relevance of belly dance and soukous. The most important takeaways from my classes are being culturally aware, learning new ways to move your body, forming community, and most importantly connecting to your soul.

The Performer

With an International Studies degree, a study abroad experience to Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania, and training under dancers such as Jillina, David Calderon, Dandash, Cassandra Fox, Oxana and Khadijah all of these experiences have helped to give me a unique flair as a performer.

My most valuable service is my ability to foster community during performances and teaching women to connect to their soul.
